Craving a treat that’s both simple to whip up and a guaranteed hit? Look no further than these vegan and gluten-free Oreo truffles. These aren’t just any truffles; they’re melt-in-your-mouth bites of joy, perfect for anyone, regardless of dietary restrictions. These are an absolute crowd pleasing treat even for our friends without dietary restrictions, they hit the spot!
Who doesn’t love a sweet little treat?
The magic begins with crushing gluten-free double-stuffed Oreos into a fine crumb. Mixed with creamy dairy-free cream cheese, this creates a rich, irresistible dough. A quick chill in the freezer firms it up just enough to roll into perfect little spheres. I made these treats for the second time this weekend and I can safely say the magic lies in the extra freeze of the dough!
Then comes the fun part: dipping these dough balls into luscious melted dark chocolate. The contrast between the creamy, chocolatey Oreo filling and the smooth, decadent chocolate coating is simply divine. Pop them back in the freezer for a final set, and in no time, you’ll have a tray of elegant truffles that look far more complex than they are.
Whether it’s a last-minute dessert for a gathering, a special treat for the family, or just a personal indulgence, these Oreo truffles are a surefire crowd-pleaser. Their simplicity makes them easy to prepare, and their flavor makes them impossible to resist. Plus, the vegan and gluten-free twist means everyone can enjoy them without worry. Don’t forget the optional sprinkle of sea salt or colorful sprinkles for an extra touch of flair!
